Cook Around the World – Free Community Cooking Workshops
Join us for Cook Around the World, a free biweekly cooking series celebrating culture, connection, and community through food. Held on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month from 10am to 12:30pm, these interactive workshops bring people together to learn, cook, and share meals inspired by diverse global cuisines.
Each session, we ‘travel’ to a different country, guided by a local community member who shares their authentic recipes, traditions, and stories. Whether you’re looking to expand your cooking skills, meet new people, or explore the flavours of the world, these sessions offer a welcoming space to connect and learn.
Hosted by Happiness House in collaboration with Lakes Multicultural Collective, this programme highlights Tāhuna’s rich cultural diversity while fostering a sense of belonging. Food has the power to bring people together, and Cook Around the World is about more than just cooking—it’s about celebrating our vibrant community, strengthening connections, and deepening cultural understanding.
All sessions are free of charge, but bookings are essential as spaces are limited. New sessions open for booking every Monday at 10am the week before the event. Be sure to follow @happinesshousequeenstown and @thekiwikitcommunitytrust on social media to stay updated and secure your spot.
Come along, try something new, and experience the joy of cooking and sharing food with others. We can’t wait to welcome you!
